Dan Ford Awarded EEP

Carlton Cricket are delighted the hear the news that our very own Dan Ford has been awarded a place by The Yorkshire County Cricket Club on their Emerging Player Programme ( EPP ).

This is richly deserved and a reward for a great deal of hard work by Dan to go alongside his natural Cricketing talent.

Yorkshire CC confirmed eight players on Rookie contracts for 2021 and a further 12 young cricketers named as part of the Academy and Emerging Player Programme. Only six players have been offered a place on the EPP, this highlights what an impressive achievement it is for Dan to be included. There is an incredible amount of Cricketing talent in the County, Dan's performances over the last few seasons in Carlton's first X1 and with Yorkshire's age group and Futures teams have impressed Yorkshire. Richard Damms, The Yorkshire County Cricket Club`s Academy Head Coach knows that this is always an exciting time of year as he works towards giving these young cricketers the opportunity to play Academy cricket, under 18's cricket, second X1 cricket and as in some cases first team cricket.

The EPP players will report for duty on the 14th November with physical screening, mental skills, bespoke individual programmes to look forward to. Cricket will start the following week with opportunities for specific technical development.

Many congratulations to Dan from all at Carlton CC, we have enjoyed watching Dan play at Carlton and the club takes great pride in his success with Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

More great news is that Dan will be playing his 2021 Saturday Cricket for Carlton CC which is fantastic. First team captain Tom Taylor is well on with planning for the 2021 season and is delighted to have Dan in the ranks knowing that Dan's name on the team sheet is a real boon for the club and his team mates.
