Sun and dry weather at last!!
Is was another great game and a good result (first official win) for the under 9s team. Carlton opted to field first again and did a great job keeping Great Preston to a score of 215. We manged a few more wickets than our last game so some good progress there! No runs scored from Henry's bowling and even took a wicket which was excellent. Louis took 2 amazing catches whilst our younger members Thomas and Harry did some excellent fielding and bowling! It was great to see another first time cricketer out there with Ethan playing his first game! Well done Ethan, excellent job👏
We started very well when it was our turn to bat with Joe and Marcus again scoring very well with 29 runs. Arthur did a great job protecting his wickets against some very good bowling and manged to hit an impressive boundary. Louis and Ethan finished off with some excellent communication work to close the scoring at 255.
Again the game was played in great spirits by both sides ( kids and parents). The most important thing is that all the juniors enjoyed it regardless of the result and we keep encouraging them to come back.
On to our next game which is Saturday morning at home against Wrenthorpe.
