Today was a good day for our Under 9s section and more specifically to 8 of our girls! Eve Jolley, Ava Redfearn, Mazie Gillman, Harriet Jackson, Isabelle Jakeman, Ayva Long, Nancy Forbes, & Holly Boland made up our first all girls competitive team. The first girls team in a very very long time! WOW
We played 2 games, the first against Colton and the second against Collingham/ Scarcroft. Unfortunately we lost by 15 runs in the first game and by 40 in the second. Regardless of the result this was a huge step forward for girls cricket and ons that we all (players, parents, Coaches and club members) should be proud of! Let's hope this is the start of something new!
