It is with deep regret we heard yesterday of the passing of the long time member and Honorary Vice President of Carlton Cricket Club, Pat Claybrough.
Pat lived in Carlton and was an integral part of the Town Street Ladies Group who provided the cricket teas for many years when we played in the Leeds League, and raised much needed funds for the Club. As with all the Tea Ladies efforts, home baking was a must and a great hit with all who sampled the fare. Pat produced wonderful pies and pastries with fruit from her allotment.
She was seen regularly at the Club enjoying a gin & tonic and we know she liked red wine too!
Pat knew everyone and everyone knew her, she was great company, straight talking and likeable. We shall miss her, as will the members of the “Cosy Club”, our fondest regards to Janet her daughter and all the Family.
