Andy Baker has organised the Carlton CC Annual Golf Day which will take place at South Leeds Golf Course on Friday 22 August and everyone is welcome. The day will consist of 9 holes in teams in the morning and 18 holes individually in the afternoon. A bacon roll and coffee is provided on arrival, soup and sandwiches for lunch and an evening meal. Carlton AFC emerged winners of the second Barrie Jagger Trophy semi-final in a tense and exciting game. The footballers posted a total of 100 for 6 in their 10 overs and although Park Lane made a valiant attempt to chase down the total they eventually finished 11 runs short. Carlton AFC now meet the Wheatsheaf in the final on Bank Holiday Monday.
The Summer Carvery due to take place at the Club on Saturday 16 August has unfortunately been cancelled, primarily due to the weather. Keep an eye out on the website for the announcement of the next exciting Club event.
