Groundsman Required

We have been very lucky over the years to have voluntary support for preparing the ground and the wicket every week during the season. Chris Porritt did a great job last year with his band of helpers after Gerald had to take a break. Unfortunately for us (fortunately for him!) Chris has moved jobs which means he is unable to commit to coming down every week to prepare the wicket. We are therefore looking at the options we have. We are going to investigate the possibility of paying a professional to prepare the wicket each week but the cost of this could be prohibitive. So I would ask that if anyone has any ideas or knows anyone that would be able to support the Club throughout the season on a volunteer basis to prepare the wicket supported by the usual adhoc volunteers please let me know via email on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
