About Us

Welcome to the Carlton Cricket Club website. 

The Club was founded in 1867 in the village of Carlton near Wakefield in the heart of the Rhubarb Triangle and during 2011 the senior teams will be competing in the Central Yorkshire Cricket League.  Feel free to browse the continually updated Club History section for further information regarding our past.

In 2011 the 1st Team have strengthened further and will continue their fight for promotion from Division 1 back into the Premier Division next season.  The 2nd team are already showing they can be a force in Division 3 and will continue the development of up and coming talent at the club, as well as providing the opportunity for the more senior members to bow out gracefully!

Carlton has a thriving Junior section that has teams from U13 through to U17 playing in the Heavy Woollen Junior Cricket League. Opportunity for local children to participate in cricket is provided for boys of all ages and abilities.
