Jim Holmes

It is with great sadness we announce that long time club member, Jim Holmes, has passed away.

Jim was a local man and had a close relationship with many of our older members whom he had known for all of his life.

He has performed in the clubhouse with his karaoke every Saturday night for several years, bringing enjoyment and encouragement to his regular followers as well as to visiting players and supporters.

When on the mic himself his rendition of the old Elvis hits were superb. In earlier times he was a brass bandsman and was the final member of the Rothwell Old Band; lads who did the rounds on Christmas & Boxing Day and knew how to get through a few pints in the Coach & Horses.

Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes will never be the same at the club.

Our condolences and love to Susan and all of Jim's family.
